'Ember & Crust Pizzeria started with a clear vision: to share true Neapolitan pizza with Naples. Established by the Romano family in 1989, our pizzeria opened as a cozy, family-run spot built on recipes passed down through generations.
Luca Romano, our founder, honed the craft of pizza-making while traveling across Italy, training with master pizzaiolos in Naples—the home of pizza. After returning to the UK, she set out to bring that magic back using time-honored methods and premium ingredients.
What started as a humble 12-seat spot has evolved into a neighborhood favorite, yet our dedication to quality and authenticity remains unchanged. We continue to use wood-fired oven techniques, prepare fresh dough every day, and select the finest ingredients we can source.
Today, 'Ember & Crust Pizzeria is still family-run, with the second generation of the Romano family guiding our devoted team. Though we embrace a few modern touches, our core stays the same: serving flavorful, authentic pizza that brings people together.
